Toya – The Fight

January 4, 2026 Written by Ezili Dantò

Episode One : Toya! – The Woman Who Raised An Empire

They tried to break her.
She brought the war.

Welcome to TOYA!
I’m starting 2026 by launching a three-season dramatic series on the Hayti Revolution. It’s a historical drama told as a serialized teleplay. This is the erased story of the Agoji warrior who raised Hayti’s founding father—and of the spiritual rebellion that shook the world.

Watch the promo video*:

What to expect:
• A story told in episodes, blending history with mythic realism
• The fractured alliances between enslaved nations
• Ancestral magic born from the land itself
• The relentless machinery of the plantation system
• A revolution seen from the ground up

Season One (1757–1791) begins now.

This is more than a story. It’s a reclamation.

Nou la. We are still here.
