Haiti’s FIRST declaration of Independence was signed not on Jan. 1, 1084 but
on November 29, 1803 after the last battle defeating Napoleon’s armies – the
Battle of Vertieres and signed by three Black generals who won our freedom:
Jean Jacques Dessalines, Clerveaux & Christophe. Later on, Dessalines
consolidated his victory and on Jan. 1, 1804 more generals signed Haiti’s
declaration of Independence including the Mulatto generals who did not fight
at Vertieres – Petion and Boyer. But Thomas Madiou, who wrote Haitian history,
counts only the 2nd Declaration of Independence. He was a French-centric
Diaspora Affranchi, like the mulatto Petion, by then living in “Petionville,”
helped found “Lycee Petion” at a time immediately after Dessalines’
assassination when Dessalines’ name was forbidden to be spoken (for 37years
during reigns of the mulatto generals -Petion and Boyer). Haitians have been
objecting to neocolonialism ever since …Ezili’s HLLN raises Jean Jacques
Dessalines on this date of his birth Sept. 20th & throughout the days of
October, 2010. We shall get rid ourselves of Petionville, the Petionville
mentality, Bourgeois Democracy and Haiti’s current resident evil

Who killed Dessalines?

Petion/Gerin- the Insurgent/Reactionary Mulatto Generals more allied to
French/colonial economic and cultural interests than the Haitian majority.
Following Dessalines’ assassination, under the long Mulatto and Eurocentric
presidencies of Petion (12years) and Boyer (25years), the name Dessalines was execrated, declared loathsome, cursed, not allowed to be spoken. Neocolonialism had begun in Haiti, would be formalized with Boyer’s “Independence Debt and the legacy of the impunity and undemocratic offenses of one class and sector of Haitian society, continues to this day”¦This elite with their foreign allies cannot accept the principal of one citizen-one vote because it would mean that they would lose their privileges and influence.
