Haiti’s founding father, Janjak Desalin: I Have Avenged America

September 19, 2011 Written by Ezili Dantò

I Have Avenged America – Janjak Desalin, Haiti’s Founding Father, the Greatest Hero to Ever live (born Sept 20, 1758, assassinated Oct. 17, 1806)

”€Ž”We must, with one last act of national authority, forever assure the empire of liberty in the country of our birth; we must take any hope of re-enslaving us away from the inhuman government that for so long kept us in the most humiliating torpor. In the end we must live independent or die.” –Jean-Jacques Dessalines (September 20, 1758- Oct. 17, 1806) Go to: HLLN’s 2011 page on Janjak Desalin and Three ideals of Dessalines

“I only want the braves to stay with me. Those who wish to become once again French slaves can make their way out of this fort. Those on the contrary who wish to die as free men may take their place around me”
— Jean Jacques Dessalines, Haiti’s founding father, speaking at Cr ête-à-Pierrot, March 11, 1802 (See, Haiti 2010: Even on These Ashes, We continue to Fight for Freedom

I HAVE AVENGED AMERICA!- Jean Jacques Dessalines

Haiti’s FIRST declaration of Independence was signed not on Jan. 1, 1084 but
on November 29, 1803 after the last battle defeating Napoleon’s armies – the
Battle of Vertieres and signed by three Black generals who won our freedom:
Jean Jacques Dessalines, Clerveaux & Christophe. Later on, Dessalines
consolidated his victory and on Jan. 1, 1804 more generals signed Haiti’s
declaration of Independence including the Mulatto generals who did not fight
at Vertieres – Petion and Boyer. But Thomas Madiou, who wrote Haitian history,
counts only the 2nd Declaration of Independence. He was a French-centric
Diaspora Affranchi, like the mulatto Petion, by then living in “Petionville,”
helped found “Lycee Petion” at a time immediately after Dessalines’
assassination when Dessalines’ name was forbidden to be spoken (for 37years
during reigns of the mulatto generals -Petion and Boyer). Haitians have been
objecting to neocolonialism ever since …Ezili’s HLLN raises Jean Jacques
Dessalines on this date of his birth Sept. 20th & throughout the days of
October, 2010. We shall get rid ourselves of Petionville, the Petionville
mentality, Bourgeois Democracy and Haiti’s current resident evil
(Clinton/UN/14,000NGOS (Ndoki)/the repugnant pale-skinned mercenary families & the Bafyoti). Batay la fèk kòmanse! – The battle has only just begun!
Dessalines is Rising.

What’s in a name? Some names horrify enslavers, tyrants and despots, everywhere…

Who killed Dessalines?

Petion/Gerin- the Insurgent/Reactionary Mulatto Generals more allied to
French/colonial economic and cultural interests than the Haitian majority.
Following Dessalines’ assassination, under the long Mulatto and Eurocentric
presidencies of Petion (12years) and Boyer (25years), the name Dessalines was execrated, declared loathsome, cursed, not allowed to be spoken. Neocolonialism had begun in Haiti, would be formalized with Boyer’s “Independence Debt and the legacy of the impunity and undemocratic offenses of one class and sector of Haitian society, continues to this day”€¦This elite with their foreign allies cannot accept the principal of one citizen-one vote because it would mean that they would lose their privileges and influence. (See, Three Historical Documents on Dessalines’ Assassination .)

Kanga Mundele: Our mission to live free or die trying, Another Haitian Independence Day under occupation – http://bit.ly/cU0TBo

“…A zombie’s mutterings are meaningless. Ayi Kwei Armah explains what’s to be done with such predators and their blan-peyi Haitian lackeys, for they are dead: “Leave them in their graves. Whatever waking form they wear, the stench of death pours ceaseless from their mouths. From every opening of their possessed carcasses comes death’s excremental pus. Their soul itself is dead and long since putrefied. Would you have your intercourse with these creatures from the graveyard?”€

NO. Leave the dead in their graves. Speak your righteous message not to these “long rotted ash”€ but address your message, my people, to the living and look only to Dessaline’s descendants worldwide. His legacy is liberty. Speak to liberty lovers. Empower the world’s lovers of liberty.” (Excerpt from Kanga Mundele: Our mission to live free or die trying, Another Haitian Independence Day under occupation, by Ezili Dantò, Haitian Perspectives, January 1, 2006

“I am the history of rape…
I am the history of battery assault and limitless
armies against whatever I want to do with my mind
and my body and my soul and
whether it’s about walking out at night
or whether it’s about the love that I feel or
whether it’s about the sanctity of my vagina or
the sanctity of my national boundaries
or the sanctity of my leaders…I know from my heart…
I have been raped.” Poem about My Rights by June Jordan
